British Open Introduction

The Open Championship, is the oldest of the four majors, and the only one held outside of the United States.  Since it's inception in 1860 this tournament has been played over some of the most cherished links courses and produced a remarkable legacy of great champions.  It is the oldest and most international championship in professional golf and the claret jug is one of the most iconic trophies in all of sport.

The Open has been played over 14 courses, although only 9 are currently used. This year the Open returns to the home of golf where it will be played on the infamous Old Course for the 29th time.  Take a trip to this incomparable tournament and further your experience by playing at some of the country's top courses.
