Scotland Short Stay Special Itineraries...
Day 1:
Your vacation of a lifetime starts with an overseas flight to Scotland.
Day 2:
Upon your arrival in Scotland, you will be met by a SGH Golf representative who will assist you with your luggage and present you with a travel guide complete with maps, travel tips, and places of interest. After being shown to your rental vehicle, you will transfer to the Turnberry Hotel. Turnberry is surely one of the most beautifully situated of all hotels in Scotland. It is set in its own 360-acre estate and faces west with panoramic views of the 2 great golf courses, the Ailsa and the Kintyre, stretched out below. With the mountains of Arran and the vast granite mass called Ailsa Craig jutting smoky blue from the sea in the distance beyond, this beautiful Edwardian hotel is ideal for a memorable vacation.
This afternoon golf will be arranged on the Turnberry Kintyre Course. The former Arran Course has been totally redesigned by well known course designer Donald Steel, and is now reopened as the Kintyre Course, offering a serious challenge to golfers of every level. The Kintyre offers more of a 'links' feel, with a variety of different tees, undulating greens and fairways, and spectacular views of Arran and the Irish Sea.
Day 3:
After breakfast this morning golf will be arranged at Royal Troon. Frequent host to the British Open, Royal Troon is consistently ranked as one of the World's best links courses. It was created by the hand of Willie Fernie, one of the great early British golfers in 1878. A classic links course in every respect, the golfer is eased into the challenge with each hole appearing to get progressively tougher. Non golfers may wish to tour The Burns Heritage Trail.
Day 4:
Today after breakfast, golf will be arranged at Prestwick Golf Club. Founded in 1851, the setting for the very first Open, this is one of the best known and most distinguished clubs in Scotland. The Club is situated just half an hour south west of Glasgow on the famous Ayrshire coast, a stretch of land unequalled anywhere in the world for prime golfing terrain. Prestwick is every sense a true seaside course with traditional links turf. Non golfers may like to visit Dean Castle.
Day 5:
After a full Scottish breakfast, golf will be arranged on the Turnberry Ailsa Course. Long regarded as one of the finest courses in the world, polls now regularly acknowledge the Ailsa Course at Turnberry as one of Britain's top three courses, confirmation that gives it eminence worldwide and regular rankings within the world's top 20 courses. The scenic glories of the Ailsa Course are to be savored - the granite dome of Ailsa Craig, the low form of the tip of Argyll, and the peaks of Arran, highlight the changing patterns of light and shade. Closer at hand, the lighthouse, and the ninth's lovely back tee are other symbols of historic Turnberry. Non golfers may choose to visit Culzean Castle.
Day 6:
As all good things must come to an end, so too must your golf vacation. Unless of course you choose to extend your vacation by taking the train to London, or hopping a plane to Ireland or England.

Your vacation of a lifetime starts with an overseas flight to Scotland.
Day 2:
Upon your arrival in Scotland, you will be met by a SGH Golf representative who will assist you with your luggage and present you with a travel guide complete with maps, travel tips, and places of interest. After being shown to your rental vehicle, you will transfer to St. Andrews and the Fairmont Hotel. Sitting on the summit of a spectacular formation, the hotel and its two championship style golf courses have breathtaking panoramic views of the River Tay estuary, the North Sea and the medieval skyline of St Andrews. Since this international resort opened in the spring of 2001, it is renowned for providing an excellent standard of service with a meticulous attention to detail. Most of the guestrooms at Fairmont St Andrews have breathtaking panoramic views of the River Tay estuary, the North Sea and the medieval skyline of St Andrews.
This afternoon golf will be arranged on the St. Andrews Jubilee Course. Created on a narrow strip of land between the New Course and the sea, the Jubilee was originally a 12 hole course intended for ladies and beginners, the Jubilee was eventually extended to an 18 hole format. It is the longest course at St. Andrews and now has the reputation as the toughest links course. Non golfers may like to tour St. Andrews.
Day 3:
After breakfast this morning golf will be arranged at Carnoustie. Regarded by many including Walter Hagen and Gary Player, as one of the best links courses in the world, Carnoustie, though certainly long, is not a course for the unthinking big-hitter. With judgment of wind and distance critical, every tee shot needs careful placement to set up an approach to the green. Whilst there may be little dramatic background scenery, the beauty of Carnoustie is to be found in the golf course itself. Non golfers may like to visit Glamis Castle.
Day 4:
Today after breakfast, golf will be arranged at Kingsbarns Golf Club. Located directly on the North Sea coast only six miles from St. Andrews, Kingsbarns is without a doubt one of the most breathtaking links courses ever developed. Kingsbarns Golf Links is a real one of a kind and a contrast with Scotland's other famous links courses in that it is a new, man-made development. The sea figures prominently on every hole and one's senses are continually pricked with the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean spray. Non golfers may like to visit Falkland Palace.
Day 5:
After a full Scottish breakfast, golf will be arranged on the St. Andrews Old Course. Handicap Limit - Men: 24, Ladies: 36. The oldest golf course in the world has many remarkable features which help make it so special to golfers around the world. It is the Home of Golf where golf was first played 600 years ago and yet it remains a real test of golf for today's champions. Despite its reputation and status, it is a public course. Non golfers may like to continue touring St. Andrews.

Upon your arrival in Scotland, you will be met by a SGH Golf representative who will assist you with your luggage and present you with a travel guide complete with maps, travel tips, and places of interest. After being shown to your rental vehicle, you will transfer to North Berwick and the Marine Hotel. Picturesquely located at the heart of the East Lothian golfing-coast, The Marine Hotel overlooks the 16th hole of North Berwick's championship links. Standing in landscaped grounds in the harbour town and encompassing superb views of the breathtaking Firth of Forth, the Marine Hotel's Victorian façade conceals a wealth of creature comforts and delights to be discovered.
This afternoon golf will be arranged on the Dunbar Course. Designed by Old Tom Morris around 1850, Dunbar East links, situated on the estuary of the Firth of Forth, is a breathtaking layout of a championship links course that stretches across 6,404 yards of coastal terrain. All of the major Scottish Championships have been played here: The Scottish Amateur; Professional Championship and Scottish Boys' Championship, and it has been used as an Open qualifier on several occasions. Non golfers may like to visit Tantallon Castle.
Day 3:
After breakfast this morning golf will be arranged at Gullane #1 Course. Gullane Golf Club was founded in 1882. The golf courses here, of which there are three, are linked as one. It offers championship quality links courses with dramatic views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and Fife. The 3rd hole was recently voted one of the top 500 holes in the world by Golf Magazine (USA). Non golfers may like to visit the Seabird Center.
Day 4:
Today after breakfast, golf will be arranged at Luffness New Golf Club. Qualifying course for The Open Championship. Luffness New is a championship links adjacent to Gullane and Muirfield, famous for its true greens. Luffness New Golf Club runs adjacent to the three fine Gullane courses. In fact, it's difficult to tell where one ends and the others begin. Non golfers may like to tour Edinburgh.
Day 5:
After a full Scottish breakfast, golf will be arranged at North Berwick Golf Club. Measuring 6317 yards, it's no monster in length, but such is its trickery that it demands a full repertoire of shot making. Founded in 1832, the club is one of the oldest in the world. Former Prime Minister, Lord Balfour, was captain here in 1891-92. Every hole is memorable - there are blind shots across the bay, and bunkers in which you can disappear from sight. It is great fun and a real test of skill. Non golfers may like to continue touring Edinburgh.
