Montrose Medal Course

Course Description:

montrose-medal Montrose Links is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most historic links in Scotland, and has played a key role in the development of golf. The medal course dates back to 1526 and is the fifth oldest in the world. The Club produced one of the earliest sets of written rules for playing the game in 1830, almost 60 years before a unified set of rules were laid down by the R & A. In 1866, the Club also made history by hosting the only 25-hole Open Tournament ever played. No golf trip to Scotland would be complete without playing this nostalgic links course.
