Today golf will be arranged on the Turnberry Kintyre Course.

Kintyre.jpg The former Arran Course has been totally redesigned by well known course designer Donald Steel, and is now reopened as the Kintyre Course, offering a serious challenge to golfers of every level. The Kintyre offers more of a ‘links’ feel, with a variety of different tees, undulating greens and fairways, and spectacular views of Arran and the Irish Sea.

Overnight at your Designated Hotel.

Day 3:

Today after breakfast golf will be arranged at Royal Troon Golf Club

Royal-Troon.jpg Frequent host to the British Open, Royal Troon is consistently ranked as one of the World's best links courses. It was created by the hand of Willie Fernie, one of the great early British golfers in 1878. A classic links course in every respect, the golfer is eased into the challenge with each hole appearing to get progressively tougher. Narrow fairways lined with trouble make tee shots critical, its bunkers are punishing and Troon's small greens require touch and imagination. Running straight out and back along the coast, Troon often changes dramatically from front nine to back.

A second round of golf will be arranged on the Troon Portland Course (free round).

Troon-Portland.jpg Portland is another good links course and although overshadowed by its illustrious neighbor, it would be a mistake to dismiss it. It is in fact very similar to Royal Troon as far as the holes and hazards go but it is a bit shorter and more forgiving. Portland is always in excellent condition and is a serious alternative to its Royal British Open Old Course.

Non golfers may like to visit Burns Heritage Trail.

Burns Heritage Trail.jpg The Burns Heritage Trail consists of a circular driving trail around southwest Scotland surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Britain. The trail takes you on a journey through the life and landscapes of Robert Burns. You will see the thatched cottage in Alloway where he was born on January 25th, 1759. You can travel to many museums and statues immortalizing Scotland’s famous poet along the trail. As well as view the sight of his grave in Dumfries. The Burns Heritage Trail offers visitors the opportunity to witness the environment of the famous poet.

Overnight at your Designated Hotel.

Day 4:

Today after breakfast golf will be arranged at Prestwick Golf Club

Prestwick.jpg Founded in 1851, the setting for the very first Open, this is one of the best known and most distinguished clubs in Scotland. The Club is situated just half an hour south west of Glasgow on the famous Ayrshire coast, a stretch of land unequalled anywhere in the world for prime golfing terrain. Prestwick is every sense a true seaside course with traditional links turf.

Non golfers may like to visit Culzean Castle

Culzean Castle.jpg Culzean Castle is one of Scotland's most loved Castles, located on the South Ayrshire coast, approximately 12 miles south of Ayr and 4 miles west of Maybole. The castle was constructed around a previous stately house by Robert Adam for David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassili. Situated at the edge of a cliff, the castle offers visitors spectacular and dramatic views from the surrounding gardens and walking paths. The castle interior houses a fine collection of historic painting, period furniture, and weaponry. In 1945 the top floor of the caste was gifted to General Eisenhower, by the Kennedy family, in acknowledgement of his services during WWII.

Overnight at your Designated Hotel.

Day 5:

Today after breakfast golf will be arranged on the Turnberry Ailsa Course.

Ailsa.jpg Long regarded as one of the finest courses in the world, polls now regularly acknowledge the Ailsa Course at Turnberry as one of Britain's top three courses, confirmation that gives it eminence worldwide and regular rankings within the world's top 20 courses. The scenic glories of the Ailsa Course are to be savored - the granite dome of Ailsa Craig, the low form of the tip of Argyll, and the peaks of Arran, highlight the changing patterns of light and shade. Closer at hand, the lighthouse, and the ninth's lovely back tee are other symbols of historic Turnberry.

Non golfers may like to visit Dean Castle.

Dean Castle.jpg Dean Castle is a 14th-century keep and 15th-century palace and is the ancestral home of the Boyd family. It contains an outstanding collection of medieval arms, armor, tapestries and musical instruments, along with a display of Burns manuscripts. The country park has 200 acres of woodland and farmland, extending over the old estates of Dean and Assloss.
