U.S. Open Hotels...
Waldorf Astoria
The Waldorf Astoria is a luxury hotel, located on Park Avenue, in the heart of New York. Built in 1929, the hotel was completely renovated in 1999, to bring all the charm and elegance of the original structure into the modern times. The Waldorf Astoria moved from its’ original location at the site of the Empire State Building and reopened as “the world’s grandest and largest hotel” in 1931, at its’ current site residing over one square block of Park Avenue. A home away from home to heads of state, including every U.S. President since Hoover and the only hotel in the world that serves as an Ambassadorial residence, the Waldorf Astoria is synonymous with the city’s most lavish accommodations. The hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
The Palace
The New York Palace Hotel is right in the heart of Manhattan on Madison Avenue and offers some of the most breathtaking views of Manhattan. Beautifully appointed guest rooms have been refurbished to introduce traditional and modern interior designs with elegant marble baths and thoughtful amenities. The Main Hotel features 491 deluxe rooms and the Executive Hotel offers 232 superior guest rooms. The hotel features a 7000 square foot state of the art fitness center, two outstanding restaurants including Istana featuring new American Cuisine and Le Cirque 2000 offering an exciting new culinary dimension unequaled in the city of New York.
Four Seasons
Perhaps no hotel in New York melds so much panache and luxury so well as does the Four Seasons Hotel. At 368 oversized rooms, 23 with balconies, 61 suites, it’s surely grand. The standard guestroom averages 600 square feet, (its own) entrance foyer, a living or sleeping room; et oui, a dressing room and a large marble bathroom. One then expects, and gets: architectural moldings, custom-built cabinetry and 10-foot coffered ceilings. Et voila: goose-down pillows and duvets, Frette sheets, terrycloth robes, slippers, a night-light, a bedside switch to maneuver the drapes. There is also a fitness center with 12 workout areas and a small aerobics studio, a full-service spa offering over 30 body, skin and nail treatments. Business, of course: count the nine meeting rooms; visit the fully equipped business center. 11,800 square feet (1,096 square meters) of meeting and function space.
